Planned Parenthood Report
WASHINGTON, DC, March 28, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The newly released Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) 2006-2007 annual report shows that the abortion behemoth has increased the number of abortions it committed from 264,943 in 2005 to 289,650 in 2006. Total revenue amounted to over one billion dollars, with the organization's profit margin - "excess of revenue over expenses" - soaring from $55.7 million in 2005 to $112 million in 2006. Taxpayer dollars played a major role in that profit with the report acknowledging the organization received over $336 million in government grants and contracts...
The PPFA annual report proudly includes on its last page that the organization was "Founded by Margaret Sanger in 1916 - more than 90 years ago - as America's first birth control clinic." That is the same Margaret Sanger who once stated, "We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population."

SHOW THE TRUTH WASHINGTON'S Cross State Tour
Show the Truth has scheduled its annual "Cross State Tour." The adults and teens (the teens really do a great job) will tour from April 21 to April 25. They will visit colleges/universities and abortion mills from the Olympia area to the Spokane area. Donations for fuel and educational handout materials would be greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.

Assisted Suicide in Washington
Your help is needed to prevent assisted suicide from being made legal in Washington! A ballot initiative was filed recently in Olympia and signature gathering (to get it on November's ballot) is expected to start soon. What you can do to help stop this:
1. Go right now to the website of the broad-based Coalition Against Assisted Suicide and sign up. You will get periodic email updates on the campaign against assisted suicide and your name will appear on the website as opposing assisted suicide. www.noassistedsuicide.com
2. If at all possible, please contribute financially to the Coalition as it will be very expensive to defend against this dangerous and misguided attempt to bring assisted suicide to Washington. No donation amount is too small (no amount is too large either! Unlike with campaigns for elected office, there is no dollar limit on contributions pertaining to ballot initiatives.)
3. If you pray daily, please add the efforts of those fighting against assisted suicide to your daily intentions and don't forget to pray for those people who are fighting for it.
4. Spread the word!
An urgent message from the Human Life Political Action Committee
It is very important for all pro-lifers to attend their party caucuses on Saturday, February 9 (and vote in the presidential primary on February 19). Republican's will choose half the state's presidential delegates from the caucuses and half from the primary election on February 19. Democrats will choose their delegates only from the caucuses. The caucuses begin at 1:00 p.m. for both the Republicans and the Democrats. The pro-abortion groups are urging their supporters to attend the caucuses. Let's outnumber them.

The conference will be held in the Portland Expo Center and speakers will include Bobby Schindler (brother of Terri Schiavo) and Jill Stanek, a labor and delivery nurse who exposed her hospital's anti-life actions and policies. Please also pray for Kathy McEntee, the President of the March for Life in Olympia and previous YFL speaker. She had a severe stroke on January 11. Let's ask God to keep her and her family close to Him during this time. Updates will follow as they're received.

Pro-life Prayer Vigil in Redmond
On December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, St. Jude's in Redmond is hosting a prayer vigil in front of the Blessed Sacrament for an end to abortion between 6 and 8 pm after their evening Mass.
Ask Your Library to Ban This Book
Planned Parenthood has endorsed a new children's book (for ages 10 and up) called, "Its Perfectly Normal" with pornographic content. So far, a prison and several websites have been among those to ban the book and detailed information concerning it because of the explicit content. (Sidenote here: If a *prison* is rejecting this book as unfit for prisoners, why should children be allowed to read it??? As your webmaster, I watched a video created by the folks at American Life League describing the dangers of the book, and I shudder to think that 4th graders will be casually thumbing through this book!) Ask Your Library to Ban This Book
Planned Parenthood has endorsed a new children's book (for ages 10 and up) called, "Its Perfectly Normal" with pornographic content. So far, a prison and several websites have been among those to ban the book and detailed information concerning it because of the explicit content. (Sidenote here: If a *prison* is rejecting this book as unfit for prisoners, why should children be allowed to read it??? As your webmaster, I watched a video created by the folks at American Life League describing the dangers of the book, and I shudder to think that 4th graders will be casually thumbing through this book!) Want to become a leader in the pro-life movement, actively grow the number of pro-life activists, learn to lead and motivate others, and save lives? Become a Field Representative for Students for Life of America.
You will start with a week of intense training to give you the skills you need to start and help lead pro-life groups on college campuses. Subsequently, you will travel your region for 10 weeks forming groups at college campuses by networking, motivating, and helping students host events.
SFLA will provide the training and resources you need. In addition, we will network you with other pro-life leaders from your region that will help you accomplish your goals. No other job will offer you the opportunity to travel the country to meet and work with pro-life college students while helping them develop into leaders that save the lives of the unborn.
Recent graduates or current students who are interested in taking a semester off are particularly suited for the job. Prior activism, leadership, or pro-life experience is encouraged.

Planned Parenthood Budget Rising
Jun. 8, 2007 (CWNews.com) - The annual budget of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America is edging toward $1 billion a year, a pro-life group notes. The nation's largest abortion provider receives roughly one-third of its income from taxpayers.
Planned Parenthood's budget for 2005-2006 was $902.8 million, an increase of 2.4% over the previous year's figure. More than one-third of that figure, $305.3 million, came from public funding.
Douglas Scott of Life Decisions International, a group that tracks the activities of Planned Parenthood, noted that the group ended the fiscal year with millions of dollars in "excess revenue over expenses-- which is known to regular people as profit."
The Planned Parenthood Federation of America performs well over 250,000 abortions every year, accounting for about 20% of all the unborn babies killed in the US.

Kevorkian Released Yesterday After Serving 8 Years

LANSING, Mich. -- For nearly a decade, Dr. Jack Kevorkian defiantly refused to stop his assisted suicide crusade, dropping off bodies at hospitals and even taping a death that was broadcast on CBS' "60 Minutes."
His actions prompted battles in many states to regulate how and when doctors could help people choose death.
But Kevorkian will find little changed when he's released June 1 from a state prison in southern Michigan after serving more than eight years of a 10- to 25-year sentence. He was convicted in 1999 of second-degree murder in the 1998 poisoning of 52-year-old Thomas Youk, a Michigan resident who had Lou Gehrig's disease.
Abortion opponents, Catholic leaders, advocates for the disabled and often doctors have fought efforts to follow the lead of Oregon, whose physician-assisted suicide law took effect in late 1997, making it the nation's only state with a law allowing the process.

Dr. Kevorkian plans to lobby for the legalization of assisted suicide in Michigan soon after his release. The Michigan Catholic Conference, "the official public policy voice of the Catholic Church in [Michigan]," released this statement.
"Any legislative effort to decriminalize assisted suicide in this state will face the same demise as the 1998 ballot issue that was overwhelmingly rejected by a three to one margin. Assisted suicide represents an affront to the dignity of the human person, a crime against life, and an attack on humanity -- all of which must be repudiated by elected officials and people of good will who seek to protect life from its beginning to its natural end.
